美國總統老羅斯福曾說：「值得讚揚的不是那些站在場外批評的人，而是那位親身進入競技場，臉上沾滿塵土、汗水與鮮血的人。」
這句話，是寫給奮戰者的禮讚，也正是對726大罷免運動最貼切的註腳。
726這場全台罷免行動，沒有政黨資源奧援，沒有媒體全面支持，更是在國民黨長年經營的地方派系與中共網軍的夾殺下，寸步難行。
但就是在這樣的戰場中，成千上萬的志工、學生、公民自發站出來，一戶戶敲門，一張張簽署，一句句講述真相。
他們不是專業政治人，也不是資源豐沛的政治勢力；他們是願意走進競技場的公民，是那群「臉上滿是塵土、汗水與鮮血」的奮戰者。
即使最終罷免未過，他們並未失敗，因為他們已經做了那些從未被主流媒體報導、從未被政客理解的艱難工作——說出真話，號召行動，喚醒人民。
與之對比的是那些坐在冷氣房裡高談闊論的人，他們只會評論罷免「戰略失誤」「票數不夠」「不切實際」，卻從未走上街頭，從未投身第一線，更從未理解人民面對極權遺緒與地方壟斷時的無力感。
正如羅斯福所言：「他的位置，永遠不會與那些冷漠膽怯、既不曾勝利也未曾失敗的靈魂為伍。」
這場罷免行動，讓我們真正看清了誰是願意付出的人，誰只是旁觀的評論家；誰在保護台灣的民主，誰在為威權開門。
雖然我們尚未跨越勝利的門檻，但我們已經將謊言與背叛曝光於陽光下。
在這個贋幣橫行、謊言橫飛的時代，我們選擇當那個真正走上前線、即使滿身塵土也不退縮的人。
我們也將繼續前行——因為真正失敗的，不是那些跌倒的人，而是那些從未嘗試的人。
原文（節錄自“The Man in the Arena”）：
“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.
The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood;
who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming;
but who does actually strive to do the deeds;
who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions;
who spends himself in a worthy cause;
who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement,
and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly,
so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”
