在日本大阪參加20國集團（G20）峰會的美國總統川普在推特發文，表示願意與北韓領導人金正恩在南北韓邊界的非軍事區（DMZ）會面，這也是川金在2月的河內二次會議鬧翻後，川普首度主動釋出善意。
川普稍早在推特發文表示：「在開完一些非常重要的會議後，包括我與中國國家主席習近平的會面，我將啟程與南韓總統文在寅從日本飛往南韓。假若北韓金正恩主席看到此篇推文，我希望可以和他在南北韓邊界的非軍事區DMZ見面，只是握個手和打聲招呼（？）！」
