美國總統拜登（Joe Biden）今天在波蘭首都華沙（Warsaw）發表重要演說時，形容俄羅斯發動入侵烏克蘭戰爭是一場「戰略失敗」，並稱不能讓俄羅斯總統普丁（Vladimir Putin）繼續掌權。
拜登把烏克蘭對抗俄羅斯入侵，與對抗蘇聯的「自由戰爭」相提並論，全世界必須準備好「長期抗戰」。拜登並告訴烏克蘭人，「我們與你們站在一起」。
拜登提及俄羅斯尋常老百姓時表示，他們「不是我們的敵人」，並敦促俄羅斯人民把西方陣營祭出的嚴厲經濟制裁，歸咎於俄國總統普丁。
拜登也警告俄羅斯切勿入侵北大西洋公約組織（NATO）「一吋」領土， 重申集體捍衛北約盟國的「神聖義務」。
在波蘭首都皇家城堡（Royal Castle）發表演說伊始，拜登呼應已故教宗若望保祿二世（John Paul II）說過的話，告訴烏克蘭人「不要害怕」。

在演說結尾，拜登表示，「我們將會擁有一個迥然不同未來，植根於民主和原則、希望與光明的更美好未來」。拜登又說：「看在老天爺的份上，不能讓這個人（普丁）繼續掌權。」
