美國國會於美東時間7日正式認證總統選舉結果，確認由民主黨總統候選人拜登（Joseph R. Biden Jr.）及副總統候選人賀錦麗（Kamala Harris）當選美國新任總統及副總統，確立拜登20日將能宣誓就任。蔡英文總統稍早在推特發文寫道，「美國民主的強韌，將持續作為世界的希望燈塔」，並附上一張遠眺自由女神的照片，心中對於台美關係持續進展的期待不言可喻，而且「一起會更好」。
蔡英文昨晚在推特以英文寫道，「In difficult times like these, it’s more important than ever to come together as one. We stand resolutely with all our partners seeking to form a more perfect union（在當前的艱難時刻，團結一致顯得空前重要，台灣會堅定地與所有尋求建立更完美聯盟的夥伴同在）」。
該推文還附上蔡英文遠眺紐約自由女神像的照片，「We believe that the strength and resilience of America’s democracy will continue to be a beacon of hope around the world.（我們相信，美國民主的強韌將持續作為世界的希望燈塔）」，並特別標註「Better Together（一起會更好）」。
